QA Engineer (Backend)
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will join the GATE-team (backend) and build the autotest process from “empty directory”.
Our IT department creates a fully proprietary in-house solution, which is ultra-fast, distributed, highly scalable, and agile. We use cutting edge hardware, latest compilers and Linux OS versions. It allows us to create and maintain a trading framework that adapts to any new markets or market changes fast, is scalable, flexible and provides perfect performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:
Manual tests and automated tests (Python PyTest) for components of our distributed trading system
Reproduce and localize bugs at the application level as well as at the level of transport layer network protocols (TCP, UDP) and other various IPC (Shared Memory, InfiniBand)
Developing a test framework to support new exchanges
Explore different approaches to load testing our services
Collaborating closely with the development team and internal users (traders, analysts)
Requirements:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, strong theoretical knowledge of testing methodologies
Understanding the testing process (goals and objectives, roles, types of testing, test design, etc.)
Advanced experience in autotesting of high-load applications
Proficiency in Python and Linux network utilities: Grep, SS, IP or their analogues
Knowledge of WebSocket and HTTP protocols, understanding of REST principles
Analytical thinking and ability to solve complex problems
Independence, responsibility, and proactive attitude

Working place
We have two main offices in St. Petersburg and Europe. The St. Petersburg office is located on the 23rd floor of a class A business center «Atlantic City». The beautiful panoramic view opens from here to the Gulf of Finland and the Park of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg.
