We are looking for an engineer to own our CI/CD platform and its AWS infrastructure for a large C++ codebase. Your goal is fast, reliable builds for every developer, backed by metrics.
Responsibilities
-
Own the GitLab CI/CD platform: pipeline design, speed, stability and cost
-
Build reusable CI templates shared across 10+ projects
-
Design and run AWS infrastructure for CI: autoscaling runner fleets on EC2/EKS, IAM, S3 storage
-
Build monitoring and alerting for runners, storage, caches and build times
-
Use metrics to find bottlenecks and reduce time-to-result
-
Optimise C++ pipelines (Conan + CMake) for reproducible builds and predictable caching
-
Keep CI secure with least-privilege access and short-lived credentials via Vault
Requirements
-
Deep experience with GitLab CI/CD: templates, extends, rules, needs, artifacts, cache, child and dynamic pipelines
-
Experience running and tuning GitLab Runners (docker, shell, k8s): autoscaling, resource limits, concurrency
-
Strong AWS: EC2, IAM, S3, VPC; EKS is a plus
-
Prometheus, Grafana and ELK: metrics, dashboards, alerting and incident diagnostics
-
Ability to find the root cause of a slow build from metrics (IOwait, NFS, cache hit ratio, runner saturation)
-
Hands-on Conan, CMake and ccache in CI
-
Ansible for configuration management
-
Vault or a similar tool integrated with CI
-
Strong Linux troubleshooting and a data-driven approach
Nice to have
-
Multi-region runners and caching
-
Python or Go for automation
-
Kafka
What we offer
-
Result-oriented bonuses on top of a highly competitive salary
-
Transparent processes and no red tape
-
Real ownership of the platform
-
A team with one of the highest levels of expertise on the market
-
Relocation support to Cyprus
